Our Founder
Rob Prichard is the founder of Redemption Ranch K9, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and training shelter dogs to become highly skilled police K9s. A lifelong Indiana resident, Rob graduated from Plainfield High School and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He went on to serve his country with distinction as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, where he specialized as an Infantry Officer.

Rob's dedication to canine training has earned him numerous accolades. He has personally trained around 25 working dogs, guiding them from blank slates to certified police K9s. As the Senior Canine Handler for the Plainfield Police Department, Rob has been instrumental in advancing police and community partnerships, connecting the local animal shelter, businesses, schools, and organizations like Make-A-Wish.
Nationally recognized for his work with service animals, Rob has testified before a U.S. Congressional subcommittee on working dogs and contributed to establishing national search and seizure case law in State of Indiana v. Hoope. His leadership has been acknowledged with multiple honors, including three Officer of the Year awards, the Medal of Valor, the Meritorious Conduct Medal with Valor, and various canine-related commendations.
Rob is passionate about giving shelter dogs a second chance. His work at Redemption Ranch is a testament to his belief that these overlooked dogs have the potential to serve communities in profound ways. His vision continues to shape the future of police K9 training and rescue, inspiring others to see the potential in every dog.
